Privacy & transparency
When you first register Overseer Studio, we collect a couple pieces of information about your system to create a “fingerprint” that is tied to your license key. You are free to register Overseer Studio on as many machines as you like, but you are limited to running one instance of the application across all machines.
Once the application is registered, we store an offline license key file that we use to verify the validity of your license instead of checking our servers each time. The offline license is valid for 30-days in which you are able to use Overseer Studio completely offline. When online, we periodically check the offline license against our online system and renew your offline license for another 30-days. During this check, we also include your machine fingerprint and details about your system for diagnostic purposes. We do not expose this information to any third-parties, ever. We do not collect any personally identifiable information.
If you have concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at tom@overseer.studio.
