Extend with plugins

Overseer Studio shines when you install plugins to extend the functionality of your GM screens. Plugins typically contain one or more of the following systems:

1. Datasets - Provide data from a static or dynamic source such as an API to other extensions
2. Extensions - Custom tiles a user can create and interact with
3. Locales - Add new languages to Overseer Studio
4. Presets - Premade GM screens a user can create
5. Themes - Add new themes to Overseer Studio

Installing a plugin

Open the sidebar and click Plugins, this will open the Overseer marketplace. Browse the marketplace and click on any plugin that looks interesting to you. Click Install to install the plugin to your system.

Safety and privacy

When you install a plugin from the marketplace, we check each file against the plugin.json definition to ensure that you are receiving the exact code you are intended to receive. This helps limit man-in-the-middle attacks or false plugins impersonating real plugins on possible insecure networks.
